Leo sat in his chair for a long time. Then he opened the launcher. Selected release 1.20.4. Generated a new world—lush caves, armor trims, villagers trading paper for emeralds.

Or rather, the lack of it.

Leo stopped. His cursor hovered over the first block of gravel.

“don’t mine straight down”

That's when he saw the gravel bridge.

No response. But the game didn't say “No one is online.” Because in Alpha, it never did.
