High-proof rye whiskey provides a spicy backbone, while the Absinthe acts not as a rinse, but a full 1 oz pour. The result is aggressively herbal, with a numbing, cooling sensation that turns into a hot cinnamon-burn finish. The sugar is noticeably absent, making it brutally dry.
